Technical Sales Manager

We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our UZIN Brand, you will be based ideally in the North West.

Your duties:

  • To support our ambitious growth plans for UZIN & WOLFF brands.
  • Maintaining and increasing sales of our company's products.
  • Reaching the targets and goals set for your area.
  • Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base.
  • Servicing the needs of your existing customers.
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.
  • Manage and develop the sales of our high quality range of brands and products.
  • Demonstrate products to the contract flooring trade.
  • On site visits and providing technical advice to customers.
  • Monitoring technical support provided through distributor.
  • Write specifications for flooring tenders.
  • Assisting distributors to identify end customers/sales opportunities/prospects in their market; and distribution of leads which come directly to UZIN.
  • Chasing up leads progress with distributors.
  • Feeding distributors/contractors with new product/application data and marketing information.
  • To maintain an excellent relationship with distributors and contractors in your area.
  • Organising training days.
  • To improve sales through existing customers and to develop new prospective customer’s database.
  • To maintain the CRM system database for existing customers and prospective customers.
  • Regular review of activity plans, performance and targets.
  • Identify new market and new product opportunities.
  • Follow up of Direct Sales leads.
  • Any other tasks required by the management.

 Your qualification:

  • Experience in contract flooring management.
  • Background in floor covering installation, subfloor preparation, adhesives and self-levelling compounds, primers and repairs compounds.
  • Experience in negotiating and sales.
  • Motivated, reliable and focused on success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer knowledge.

Technical sales managers must have good communication skills as the job entails developing and maintaining relationships with partners, customers, peers as well as the sales and marketing team. A strong leadership skill is a plus and a technical sales manager must also be a self-starter. Sales skills and technical knowledge is mandatory as you will be responsible for holding presentations and customer discussions.
